FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ELENA AURE

Yes, you will receive high resolution edited files with personal printing rights.

I photograph and edit each wedding personally. Some larger studios hire photographers with little to no experience in an effort to keep their prices low and their profits high. While their portfolio might look great, you do not have the guarantee that you will receive the level of service and the high quality images that you should expect. It is important that the person you talk to is going to be the photographer at your wedding.

This is entirely up to you. You have the option of just hiring me or adding a second photographer who also acts as an assistant at times to ease the flow of the wedding. A second photographer might be needed if the bride and groom are getting ready in two different places. Having two photographers allows for different angles of the same scene during the wedding. The hour after the ceremony is usually the time having a second photographer is key when the lead photographer is doing the formals and the second shooter captures the cocktail hour.

A ‘first look’ is when a bride and groom see each other before the wedding ceremony.  First look wedding photos are becoming very popular and I highly recommend them! It gives you a private moment and opportunity to express your emotions which always helps calm the nerves.  I have never had a couple regret it. Every couple who chose to go this route said it was their favorite part of the day and seeing each other before going down the aisle did not take away from the emotions of the ceremony. As a bonus, you will have more pictures together, be less rushed after the ceremony and have more time to spend with the guests!

I have a high image quality standard that must be met in order for them to make it within your final gallery. I usually take as many pictures of the same pose as I need to get the perfect shot. That is the beauty of digital photography! Therefore, I do not include the duplicate photos, blinks, blurs, and wrong exposure. This makes it easier for you to pick your favorite images and I assure you that there is nothing you would miss in the editing process!

It can be a sweet and simple shoot at your favorite location(s) or it can be something stylized and more formal or something that reflects your interests and passions. This is completely up to you! Are there any places that are significant to you? Do you like nature or do you prefer an urban scene? Is there a favorite place where you go frequently on dates, where you went for your first date, where the proposal took place? All of these can be fun locations for a shoot. If you cannot decide, I will be happy to recommend some great locations.

There are two phrases I hear when the subject of bridal portraits comes up:

1. “I don’t have time”

2. “I wish I would have done the bridal portraits” (usually after the wedding)

So let’s not live with regret and let’s get them done! They are such fun sessions anyway. Think of it as a trial run for your hair, makeup, and dress a few weeks before the wedding day! If your schedule absolutely does not allow this, consider adding an additional hour to your wedding day coverage.

Printed images are the best, It’s a glorious moment when you see your self and you see you partner after the wedding and you live through the photos every moment of your most important day.
