Difference between elopement and wedding

What is an Elopement?

There aren’t really any cut-and-dry rules that differentiate a traditional wedding from an elopement. An elopement is still a wedding – a very beautiful, intimate, meaningful, and intentional one!

Elopement is transform your wedding day into the most wonderful experience, love in its most honest and, meaningful form. Elopement wedding are bringing weddings back to their true meaning and intention. Of course, a large traditional wedding may feel right for the two of you too- and that’s what it’s all about, really bringing things back to what feels right to you as a couple, regardless of outside influences, social expectations, or other obligations.

What is Eloping?

In the world of intimate weddings and elopements, the day you get married does not need to be adhered to any expectations. Adventure elopements are for couples who choose to focus on the INTENTIONAL EXPERIENCE of wholeheartedly having your wedding day the way you want to. You do so so that years from now, you won’t have any “oh we should have…”

So you can choose to elope with just the two of you (and me as your photographer out there,  or with some friends and closed family members). You can choose to travel to somewhere meaningful to your relationship or a destination completely new to start your marriage on an adventurous note.

Eloping is living a unique experience and transform it into your wedding day.

What's The Difference Between Elopement and Intimate Wedding?

The main difference between an elopement and intimate wedding is in the guest list, specifically the amount of guests invited.

To some elopement photographers, pricing and how they approach your wedding day might look different even with one extra guest.

For our services, all elopement and wedding packages are the same. We don’t charge extra for when you decide to invite those who are important in your life to be there with you. We know how important support systems are.

However, In order to preserve the intimate setting of this INTENTIONAL EXPERIENCE, We limit our elopements and intimate weddings to a total of 25 guests.

Should We Elope?

The one common denominator that we heard among our elopement couples on why they decided to elope is that they all value INTIMACY & INTENTIONAL EXPERIENCE. By forgoing expectations and traditions that no one really knows why couples have to do a certain things on their wedding day, our couples are able to customize their wedding experience that truly reflects who they are.

Hike if you want to. Have a group of friends and family members partying and twerking on top of the mountain if you want to. Elope somewhere epic then have a reception later if you want to.

Where Should We Elope?

Let’s start by thinking this, what kind of scenery do you want? What are you picturing when you see yourself enjoying your elopement experience? What type of landscape do you see yourself in, that you could picture exchanging your meaningful vows in?

Are you hoping for mountain backdrops, enchanting forests, desert vibes, red rocks, canyon views, beaches or coastal cliffs, sand dunes, ancient ruins, alpine lakes, rock formations, tropical destinations?

Is there somewhere that’s meaningful to you? Maybe a place you’ve been to before together that’s really special or sentimental? What types of places inspire awe for you?

When planning an elopement, location possibilities basically become endless! You don’t have a large guest list , and you also don’t need an event space. You can get married in your backyard, in a National Park, at your favorite beach, in a courthouse, on a gondola, on a cliff, in a cave, at your dream vacation spot, and so many more options!
